Project Update November 2nd, 2009:
The final feasibility study is now available for review. The feasibility study can be viewed or downloaded using the links located on the right side of this webpage (PDF). A hardcopy of the study is also available for checkout at the Sherwood Public Library and at the front counter at City Hall – Community Development Division. The feasibility study can also be purchased in hardcopy format or on a disc through the Community Development Division.

At this point, the City can use information contained in the study to apply for grants and special funding programs that will enable the City, with the help of local citizens and stakeholders, to master plan a preferred alignment and eventually design & construct the trail system through Sherwood’s Cedar Creek Corridor.

Project Background/Purpose:
The City of Sherwood is in the early phases of planning for the development of an urban trail system in the Cedar Creek drainage corridor. It is envisioned that the Cedar Creek Trail will be a multi-use path that will serve as a major north/south trail connection between Stella Olsen Park and Roy Rogers Road, ultimately connecting to the Tualatin River National Wildlife Refuge. The feasibility study will guide future planning, design and funding efforts by the City.

The Cedar Creek Trail is part of a regional system called the Tonquin Trail, currently being master planned by Metro.
