Pine Street – Construction Update – September 5th, 2008
Verizon has removed the utility poles and the remaining sidewalk panels have been poured; the sidewalks are functional. Verizon and Comcast have some minor repair work remaining on private property and should have that work wrapped up very soon. The streetlights arrived two weeks ago and look quite nice. The remaining two streetlight foundations were fixed this week and those two lights will be installed next week. PGE will then be on-site to energize the streetlights.
Kerr Contractors, Inc. will continue working on punchlist items next week. Most of the work that remains is work on private property including establishment of seeding areas, restoration and cleanup. The City and contractor are currently working with property owners & residents to make sure property is established to an acceptable condition. There is some minor asphalt paving work that will occur on Vista Avenue, Highland Street and Tualatin Street within the next two weeks. This work should not significantly affect traffic on Pine Street.
Now that the utility poles have been removed and the streetlights installed expect to see the contractor on-site for the next two weeks finishing up punchlist items and meeting with property owners.
